a.      Recall your school days. Write in three paragraphs of an event that you always remember

A Memorable Day of my High School Life

School life is a wonderful period of our lives. Apart from getting an education, the students learn a lot of things from the school environment including patience, sincerity, loyalty, sincerity, friendship, discipline etc. The school is an unforgettable account of our experiences. The high school life days are very much filled with excitement. During the high school life period, one becomes mature enough to understand the value of time. My high school life is a wonderful chapter in my entire memory. In that period I learned truly. I directed myself. I learned dedication, hard work, motivation and self-actualization. This is the period when I started working hard. Thanks to that hard work, today I am happy with my career. I believe, what you learn during high school or college life, truly impacts the rest of your life.

One of my best high school memories was the day when I won a prize in the annual inter-school sports competition. It was a moment of great pride for me, my parents and for my school. The Principal of our school gave me a shield. That shield is still with me. I always had the habit, during my school life, to note down everything in a diary. During my free time, I always open that diary. It helps me relax my pain. It fills me with confidence and courage. I miss a lot of my friends of mine. I have a good amount of school life pictures. Those school life pictures are like my best memories. I remember the days we celebrated the extracurricular activities we took part in.

I remember how happy my parent were when I obtained the first position in my entire school. That’s the best part of my school life. It never let me be bored. It is said that a person always remembers their first day at school and the last day at school. The first day a child remembers because he came there weeping. And on the last day a student remembers because he left the school weeping again. In my case, I remember clearly my first day at school and my last day at school. The joys of school life are surely countless. Indeed, school days are the best of our lives.

b.     "Education empowers a person". Elaborate this statement giving examples of your personal experience.

Education Empowers a Person

There is absolutely no doubt that education empowers a person. It broadens his horizon of knowledge. Education provides an opportunity to look at the bigger picture of the society, the country the person lives and indeed the whole world. Education gives a person the ability to internalize knowledge from history, geography, literature, science and arts. It improves the power of reasoning to address everyday issues, problems and opportunities.

We find many examples of educated persons around the world who are males or females getting success and serving in society. For example, Malala from Pakistan is one of the global icon who has been awarded with Nobel Prize due to her great advocacy for education. Moreover, there are many people such as doctors, engineers, lawyers, actors, scientists, astronauts and professors who are empowered with education so they are skilled in their related fields.

Literacy is the common feature of all the developed countries, regardless of the ideological and political orientations- democracy, socialism, dictatorship, central planning, and communism. It is important to remember that the power gained from education can empower a person but he or she can use the power for the benefit of the country and society, as it should not be used to oppress and exploit ordinary people to build wealth and attain power.
