Blog
A weblog or blog is a website that contains an online personal journal with reflections, comments, and often hyperlinks provided by the writer. It is a regularly updated website or web page, typically one run by an individual or small group, that is written in an informal or conversational style. It is an electronic journal or diary of the information age, with the added advantage of openness and interactivity.
A typical business blog (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ancECphk_9c ) offers timely updates on the company's affairs, products, and services. It may be factual, intended to share information that can be persuasive in promoting or selling a product or service. It can be reflective, sharing personal or institutional experiences about things.
Some tips for writing a blog with different elements
• Title: It is the headline of the diary entry that is similar to a newspaper article with a meaningful theme.
• Abstract: It is a short description of the entry when we write long posts.
• Body: It contains the main content of the post and occupies most of the space in the entry. Using bullets with little description can help emphasize or highlight important points.
• Post Date: It is the date and time the post was published.
• Comments: They are the expressions of the readers who leave in the blog entry. We can monitor or moderate their comments if we desire to do so.
• Categories: They are typical subjects such as politics, geography, and food that we regularly write about in the blog.
• Permalink: It is the permanent URL of the full, individual entry. It helps someone to link to the entry in the blog which directly takes a visitor to the article.
• Trackback and pingback: They are links to other sites that refer to the entry.
• RSS (Rich Site Summary) Feed: It is an XML-coded version of the blog. If we have an RSS Feed of the blog, its readers can subscribe to it.
