Start with some examples.

a.      The book that I'm reading is really interesting.

b.     The woman who lives next door is a doctor.

c.      The car which was parked outside had a flat tire.

d.     The movie that we watched last night was very entertaining.

e.      The dog whose tail is wagging seems happy.

Note: Tell them the relation of the relative pronouns: who – person, where – place, when – time, which – thing, how – process, why – reason. Tell them the clauses that come with relative pronouns are called relative clauses

Writing I: News Story Writing

Tips for news story writing:

·        Write the concise title (headline) of the news in the center following the title case.

·        Mention place, day, month, and Source in brackets.

·        Write the main news in the first paragraph as an introduction.

·        Develop a second para with other details.

·        Conclude with the final para what is going on.

·        Use past tense preferably.

Nepal’s Yantrika Showcased in International Robot Exhibition

 

Kathmandu, 10 Jan. (RSS): Yantrika, an advanced robot developed by Nepal's NAST team led by Engineer Roshan Pandey, is featured in the international online robot exhibition.

Yantrika can identify people wearing masks and those who are not, dispense masks and sanitizers, and measure body temperature. This innovative robot stands out among technologies from the USA, Canada, Germany, India, and the UK, showcased by the Smart Society of Canada, Business Upside, USA, and IEM America Corporation.

The primary goal of Yantrika is to promote public health by disseminating essential information about mask-wearing and sanitizer use. This initiative underscores Nepal's dedication to using technology for societal benefit and marks a significant contribution to global technological advancements.
