During a flight to Kathmandu last year, I encountered a frustrating issue when my checked luggage was misplaced. After landing, I waited at the baggage claim area, but my suitcase never arrived. I immediately reported it to the airline staff, who informed me that it might have been sent to another destination by mistake. Without my clothes and essentials, I had to buy new ones going to Thamel, which was an unexpected expense. The airline located my bag after two days and delivered it to my hotel, but the delay caused inconvenience. Another time, while traveling by bus to Jhapa, the air conditioning stopped working midway, making the journey extremely uncomfortable in the summer heat. The driver couldn’t fix it, and we had to bear the heat for hours. Such experiences teach us to always carry essentials in hand luggage and be prepared for unexpected troubles.
