Sorry Mom is a socially conscious Nepali movie that presents the problems of youth, family responsibility, peer pressure, drug addiction, and the consequences of wrong decisions. One of the important aspects of the movie is the contribution of a mother to the future of her children. The mother goes abroad to earn money because her husband is irresponsible and addicted to alcohol. Her decision shows her sacrifice for the future of her son. However, her absence also creates a gap between the mother and her son. This shows that parents' financial support is important, but children also need proper care, guidance, communication, and supervision.

The movie strongly presents the negative effects of peer pressure. The hero begins drinking, smoking, taking hashish and smack, and strolling with his friends. He gradually changes from a successful college student into a drug addict. His decisions are influenced by his friends and his emotional problems. The movie therefore gives the message that young people should be careful when choosing friends and making decisions. Similarly, the hero's reckless use of his parents' money is another negative aspect. He spends money on bars, entertainment, travelling, and drugs without thinking about his parents' sacrifice. Later, his addiction becomes so serious that he steals and sells his mother's necklace to get money for drugs. This shows how drug addiction can destroy a person's values, responsibility, and relationship with family.

Another serious issue is violence caused by emotional problems and wrong decisions. One of his friends kills his lover because she does not accept his proposal. This shows how uncontrolled emotions, possessiveness, and lack of respect for another person's decision can lead to serious crime. The movie also shows sensitive scenes involving drug use, alcohol, and violence, including throwing a brick at a girl to kill her. In my view, such scenes need to be presented carefully because young viewers may imitate or be negatively influenced by them. The movie should make the harmful consequences clearer so that such scenes do not appear attractive or normal to young audiences.

One of the strongest positive aspects of the movie is the hero's transformation. After rehabilitation, he realizes his mistakes, returns to his studies, and runs a campaign against drug addiction. This gives a positive message that a person can change and rebuild his life after making serious mistakes. His campaign also shows that young people can become part of the solution to social problems.

The main strength of the movie is its strong social message. It presents drug addiction, peer pressure, family problems, irresponsible spending, and violence in a way that can make viewers think about their consequences. The mother's sacrifice and the hero's transformation also make the movie emotionally powerful. However, the movie has some weaknesses. Some scenes of drug use, alcohol consumption, and violence are too sensitive for young viewers. There is a risk that repeated or direct presentation of such behaviour may influence some young people negatively. Some events also happen very quickly, particularly the hero's movement from emotional disappointment to drug addiction. The movie could have explained the psychological and social causes of addiction more deeply.

Overall, Sorry Mom gives a clear message: young people should avoid bad company, drugs, alcohol, and irresponsible behaviour; parents should provide both financial and emotional support; and society should help addicted people through treatment and rehabilitation. The movie also shows that wrong decisions can destroy a person's future, but determination, family support, education, and rehabilitation can provide an opportunity to change.
